A narrow 2-1 win for St Neots Women’s 1s over Ipswich & East Suffolk 1s ensured they continued their good run of form. Alix Hayward opened the scoring for Saints midway through the first half.
The visitors pulled a goal back scoring from a short corner as the game neared its end.
Shortly after though, Saints regained the lead when Marie Quintilla deflected in from their own short corner.
The win means Saints have gone three games unbeaten since their opening day defeat.
The 2s remain unbeaten and sit second in the league after a 1-1 draw away against Cambridge Uni 4s.
Uni took the lead in the second half but were soon pegged back by Saints when Willow Browne equalised.
The 3s were beaten 2-1 in a tight game against Kettering.
Isabelle Holmes had equalised for Saints before the visitors won it late on.
Esther Cove scored a hattrick for the 4s as they beat Bourne Deeping 3s 4-1.
Amaani Mahran scored the other for Saints on her debut for the club.
The Men’s 1s pick up a much-needed point after back-to-back defeats as they drew 2-2 with City of Peterborough 3s.
Saints took the lead through Phil McMorris after he missed a penalty flick just a few minutes before.
In the second half, City scored twice from penalty corners to take the lead in the game.
With five minutes to go, Rory Jones equalised for Saints from their own penalty corner.
The 2s remain unbeaten following a 5-2 win over Spalding 3s.
They took the lead through a goal by Willem Zwetsloot before Jack Percival doubled their advantage.
Spalding did get one back before the break, but soon after the restart Pat Keogh restored the two goal lead.
Further goals from Jack Nethercott and a second from Keogh came either side of one from Spalding to secure the three points.
The 3s also scored five as they beat Pelicans 4s 5-1.
Shahbaz Ali claimed a hattrick to help him lead the club’s goalscoring charts for the season.
Oliver Holmes couldn’t emulate his sister scoring earlier in the day, but did assist twice, including once for his dad Anthony in a dominant display from Saints.
Georgie Browne did match his sister by getting a goal as he completed the scoring late on.
The 4s lost 6-1 to Newmarket 4s, Chris Bates scoring a consolation for Saints.
