The Stags were featured on ITV's Premiership Rugby Highlights show over the weekend.

The team appeared in a special segment of the programme called 'Grass Roots Beauts' on June 2 at 8pm on ITV4.

The segment showcased their incredible try during the Papa John's Community Cup Quarter Final.

The move involved a perfectly executed sequence, starting with Rory Parker securing the ball from a scrum and feeding replacement scrum half JJ Ward.

JJ then whipped the ball to the team's fly-half and top points scorer, Joe Hicken.

Following a predetermined play from director of rugby Simon Leader's playbook, Joe found Jamie Gunn at inside centre, before cleverly wrapping around in a classic "Sexton Style '' manoeuvre to receive the return pass as defenders were fooled by outside dummy lines.

Joe brilliantly drew another defender before finding Tyler, who weaved through desperate cover to score a magnificent try on his debut for the first XV.

Huntingdon & District RUFC have enjoyed a phenomenal season under the leadership of Leader.

The 1st XV culminated their incredible journey by reaching the Papa Johns Community Cup Counties 2 North Shield Final at Darlington Stadium on Sunday, May 12.

The team's road to the finals began with a dramatic victory against Handsworth, followed by a heart-stopping semi-final win over Coalville.

This season has truly been one to remember for the Huntingdon players and supporters.

However, the club's success extends far beyond the final whistle.

Leader and his team have prioritized building a strong foundation for the club's future.

They've established a clear pathway for talented young players to progress to the senior team, with gifted colts like Tyler poised to join the 1st XV next season.

This dedication to inclusivity, along with fostering collaboration between coaches across all age groups, has fostered a fantastic culture within the club.
