Priory Parkside U-7s Yellows were victorious in the Hunts Youth League U-7s Plate Final on May 19.
The match between Priory and Somersham U-7s took place at the Eaton Socon Football Club ground.
"The two teams played with determination, spirit and team work throughout," said Manager Gary Henderson.
"It was a hard fought match, filled with some nerves for both teams, who at U7 level, were both excited and anxious to be at this new venue with so many spectators.
"Both teams had lots of support from family, friends, and team mates."
Priory dug deep and got off to a flying start with three goals in the first quarter. More goals followed for Priory in the second, third and fourth quarters.
"Somersham were tough opponents, they never gave up, playing to the final whistle, and did themselves and their coaches proud, said Gary.
"This was a great achievement for a newly-formed team in their first season who are led by a team of dads."
Final Score: Priory Parkside 7 - Somersham - 0.
