England World Cup winning rugby captain Martin Johnson presented a cup and medals to a successful Cambridgeshire under 11s touring squad.
The St Neots Rugby Club squad competed against teams from England, Wales and Ireland in a tournament organised by Leicester Tigers rugby club in Minehead, Somerset, between May 4 and 5.
The talented players won five out of six games, leaving them runners-up in their pool, earning them a trophy and medals presented by Johnson at a star-studded ceremony following the tournament.
Coach Ian Wallis praised all 15 players who travelled to Somerset and represented the town.
He said: “We trained hard for this national event and all players contributed to our success on the field.
"Their hard work and skill was rewarded by the excellent results and it was a huge honour to receive our cup and medals from rugby legend Martin Johnson.
“We also received recognition for the team’s sportsmanship, and for displaying rugby’s values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and enjoyment.
He added "It was a proud moment for the coaching team to see all the training and hard work appreciated.”
The team’s success included a poignant farewell to three female players – Nathania Lewis, Mimi Mount and Rachel Cooper – who move on to an all-female squad next season.
The Tigers Challenge is an annual event bringing teams together from the four nations.
