Report from Saturday's St Neots RUFC Colts v Biggleswade RUFC Colts match at The Common in St Neots.
It took a brilliant individual effort from Luke Miles to decide the outcome of another closely contested game between the colts of St Neots and Biggleswade on Saturday.
Miles ran in a 40 yard try to secure a 15-12 victory for the Saints to record a league double over their local rivals.
A mammoth effort by the St Neots defence in the remaining five minutes of the match kept a strong Biggies side from scoring.
Saints' were the stronger of the teams in the first half and went into the break with a 10-0 lead thanks to tries from Jacob Parker and Fraser Gunn. But Biggleswade Colts came out stronger in the second period and soon started to dominate the play.
And with two tries and a conversion, Biggies held a two-point advantage until that final surge by Miles to claim a hard earned victory for St Neots.
