The Women’s 1s started 2024 with a win, picking up from where they left off at the end of last year.
Saints who remain unbeaten in the league beat Pelicans 1s 4-2 and extended their lead at the top of the table.
Marie Quintilla, Ella Roberts and Summer Payne were all on target to give Saints a 3-1 lead at half time.
The hosts did get a goal back, but Kate Clark’s strike regained Saints’ two goal lead.
The Women’s 2s picked up their first point of the season as they held Long Sutton 1s to a 0-0 draw.
The 3s also drew as they came back from a goal down to level the game 2-2 with Cambridge South 5s.
Esther Cove scored Saints’ first before Lizell Heather secured the late equaliser.
The 4s wrapped up an excellent day for the women’s sides, beating Long Sutton 2s 1-0. Marisa Cook with the goal.
The Men’s 1s continued their good run with a narrow 2-1 win at home against City of Peterborough 4s.
Saints went a goal down in the first half but fought back well after the restart.
Rob Hoye scored the equaliser for Saints just after the break, before top scorer Phil McMorris wrapped up the win.
The 2s started the year with a big 5-1 win over City of Peterborough 6s.
Despite a nervy start, Saints took the lead through James Findlay.
Owen Edwards gave Saints a 2-0 lead to take into the break.
City found their way back into the tie scoring a penalty flick, but Saints increased the pressure on the hosts and stretched their lead thanks to two goals from Alasdair Large and a second from Findlay.
The 3s were beaten 2-0 by Cambridge South 5s despite putting in a good performance.
The 4s also lost, beaten 2-1 by Bourne Deeping 4s. Mark Harrison with the goal.
