Ladies golf captain Sandra Lacey has handed over two cheques from the proceeds of her nominated charity funds.
Sandra, who the Ladies Golf Club captain from October 2022 until October 2023, named the Woodland Macmillan Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Amelia's Appeal- Child Brain Tumour Research Centre at University of Nottingham as her charities.
She said: "I was overwhelmed by the generosity of the Ladies section and members of St Neots Golf Club in raising an amazing £3,500.
"This was split equally between both charities. The Woodland Centre supported my husband whilst he received treatment.
"They provide a peaceful, caring environment for all the family during visits and it was very supportive to us.
"Amelia was a student at Hinchingbrooke School. I worked with her, her parents and medical professionals with the transition from a junior school environment to the secondary school setting.
"Allowing her to access a full academic, social and emotional environment. She was an inspiration to myself and the wonderful team who worked with her.
"Sadly, she passed 2018 just 13 years old. She will always be in my heart and therefore both these charities felt appropriate during my captaincy year."
