A Rampant St Ives Rugby Club made it five straight wins in a row after they comfortably beat Bedford Queens 57-0 in a nine-try display.
Kicking off under lights in their first Friday night league fixture of the season on October 13, the Bulls put on a show for the spectators with seven separate players crossing the whitewash on the way to victory.
Queens fought to the end but were left with nothing to show for their efforts, remaining at the foot of the Counties 2 Midlands East (South) table as St Ives surged up to third.
Head Coach Paul Humphreys said: "Being Friday 13th and with the atrocious weather, which is always a leveller, the match had the feeling of a banana skin.
"However, the boys started well. We scored a well-worked try off the training ground inside two minutes, which settled the nerves. Our accuracy let us down, but the desire to play was good."
The Bulls kicked off in the torrential rain with a rip-roaring attack, and with only seconds on the board, slick hands left Ben Fleming in space, and he slid his way in to score in the corner for a 5-0 lead.
There was some concern in the minds of the many onlookers as the Bulls then managed to spurn three gilt-edged chances before the clock had passed ten minutes.
Queens managed to get to the Ives 22, and it was only stout defence that kept them out.
Ives reset their attacking playing, and keeping the ball in hand proved successful as returning skipper John Paxton darted through to score under the posts.
Having weathered the storm, Ives fought their way back upfield. Joe Cox developed a two-on-two to score a fine try.

Shortly before halftime, Matt Wood was left in space after the ball had swung from one side to the other to score the bonus point try, with Cox converting both for a 24-0 lead.
The second half saw Ives score five fine tries, with the direct running and offloading a pleasure to watch for the crowds.
Another try for Fleming, two from Albiee Tayedzerwa, one from Paul Ashbridge and one from Ollie Raine helped add gloss to the scoreline.
With Cox converting four out of the five tries, the final score was 57-0.
St Ives next plays fifth-placed Rushden and Higham on Saturday, October 21.
