St Ives 1st team secured a five-point win without taking to the field over the weekend after Bugbrooke RFC, plagued with injuries, conceded the fixture.
The derby battle of the Saints between St Ives 2s and St Neots 2s was still on, with St Ives triumphing 45-15 in a great team effort by the Bulls.
St Ives ran in seven tries and displayed some excellent running rugby to secure a league double against the local rivals at their own ground.
The walkover win for the 1st team means St Ives leapfrog Northampton Casuals in the league into tenth place ahead of a crucial fixture against bottom-placed side Dunstablians (12th) on February 18.
