St Neots Town’s dismal record in the West Midlands continued as a lack of credible openings cost them at Sporting Khalsa.
It is now no points, no goals scored and 16 conceded in the region this season for Pete Gill’s men following their 2-0 Northern Premier League Division One Midlands defeat on February 4.
Saints goalkeeper Jamie Greygoose began his man of the match display with a full-length save to deny Harry Cunningham, as efforts from St Neots’ Callum Anderson and Manny Osei were dealt with.
But first half pressure paid off for Khalsa when Toumani Sidibe’s deflected shot on 42 minutes earned a half-time lead.
Greygoose made a brave save to deny Miracle Okafor early in the second half, as St Neots enjoyed more chances after bringing on forward duo Trey Charles and Brandon Njoku from the bench.
But the result was sealed when Okafor picked his spot on 63 minutes to leave St Neots, due to host Coleshill Town on February 7, 7.45pm, still searching for a second away league win this season.
