St Ives Town were unable to reward a dominating display with a positive result while there was a thrilling comeback at the weekend.
Will Davies’ first half goal earned Leiston a 1-0 victory over the Ives, who had chances against the Southern League Premier Division Central promotion chasers on January 28.
Ben Toseland smacked the woodwork for Town who, after visiting Tamworth on January 31, host Hitchin Town at Quattro-Tech Westwood Road on February 4, 3pm.
St Neots fought from three goals down to draw 3-3 at home to Shepshed Dynamo in an entertaining Northern Premier League Division One Midlands contest.
Shepshed raced into a three-goal lead, before a Trey Charles’ brace and Jon-Paul Duncliffe’s strike in the second half earned St Neots a point.
Pete Gill’s men visit Chasetown on January 31 before facing Sporting Khalsa on February 4, 3pm.
In the United Counties League Premier Division South, Eynesbury Rovers thrashed Rothwell Corinthians 5-1, while Eaton Socon ran out 3-0 winners over Thame United Reserves in Spartan South Midlands League Division One.
