A group of young Swimmers from St Ives Swimming Club (SC) have achieved lifetime best swims and enjoyed medal success at the Cambridgeshire County A Championships.
The group of 22 swimmers travelled to the Parkside Pool in Cambridge to compete against nine other clubs across the county on January 21 and January 22.
A spokesperson for St Ives SC said that all the St Ives swimmers competed "superbly", with 13 out of their 22 swimmers making the finals from their heats during a "tough" competition.
Eight medals were won by the team, with a gold medal performance by Tessa Quayle in the 50m breaststroke girls 15yrs final with a time of 35.33.
Zahran Lonsdale and Ewan Thomson both won silvers medals, Chloe Butler received two bronze medals, and Tate Taylor won an impressive three bronze medals across a variety of different swimming disciplines.
The spokesperson added: "A great weekend of swimming and on the last weekend of competition on February 5, there will also be the County Relay Championships with 76 Swimmers from the Club participating."
