St Neots Men's 1s showed no signs of rustiness when they returned to play after a six-week break by producing a terrific performance to seal an emphatic 7-0 over Cambridge South 4s.
Four scores from leading scorer Phil McMorris fired the Saints to victory as they extended their winning streak to six games.
McMorris had opened the scoring with two well-taken chances in the first half for a 2-0 lead.
In the second half the Saints were hungry for more with McMorris x2, Andrew Baldwin and Dave Martin adding to the score and Matt Burton scoring the pick of the bunch when he finished a fantastic team goal.
The win lifts Saints to second in the East Men's Division 3NW ahead of an away fixture against struggling City of Peterborough 5s next week.
Elsewhere in the Club, the Men's 2s earned an excellent 2-2 draw at home to March Town 2, the 3s were beaten heavily 5-0 and the 4s moved up the table with a 2-0 win.
In the women’s side, there was no fixture for the 1s, but the 2s continued their excellent run of form with a 6-0 win over bottom side Kettering 3s, and the 3s and 4s both dropped into the bottom two league places following defeats.
