Towns across Huntingdonshire will be holding events to mark Remembrance Sunday (November 10) and Armistice Day (November 11). 

Huntingdon

On Remembrance Sunday, there will be a wreath laying service at the Thinking Soldier statue at 10:45am, followed by a parade along Huntingdon High Street and St Mary's Street. 

On Armistice Day, a service will take place in the Market Square from 10:45am.

St Ives

On Sunday, November 10, a Parade will begin on Station Road in St Ives at 10:25am and march to Market Hill.

A Remembrance Service will start at 10:45am in St Ives Town Centre by the War Memorial, and will include a two minutes silence at 11am, followed by wreath laying and a march.

On Armistice Day, there will be a short act of remembrance at the War Memorial in Market Hill at 11am.

St Neots

On Remembrance Sunday, a procession will take place through St Neots High Street beginning at 9.40am. It will finish at St Neots Parish Church, on Church Street, where a short service will be held.

An Act Of Remembrance at the War Memorial, including a two-minute silence for the fallen, will take place at 11am.

On the same day at 12pm, a Polish Remembrance Service will take place at St Neots Cemetery, led by the St Neots 2500 Squadron Air Cadets.

Ramsey

At 11am on November 10, a church service will be held at the Bury War Graves. From 2.30pm, a parade will march from Abbey Gates to the Wat Memorial, where a second service will be held at St Thomas a Becket Church at 3.30pm.

On Monday, November 11, the Act of Remembrance will take place at Ramsey War Memorial at 11am.

Godmanchester

From 10.30am on Remembrance Sunday, a procession will take place in Godmanchester from the Town hall up to the War Memorial for a short service, where Year 6 students from three primary schools will read poems.

There will also be a service at St Marys Church, Godmanchester, in the evening.
