A chef at a popular Huntingdonshire restaurant has scooped a prestigious national award for his work.
Badshma Miah from Sultan Tandoori in St Ives was named as one of the winners in the best chef category at this year's Curry Life Awards.
The awards were staged by Britain's renowned curry magazine, Curry Life, and announced at a ceremony on October 13.
The owner of Sultan Tandoor Abdul Muhit said: "It’s wonderful to have this award. Our chef is very passionate and experienced, that is why we wanted him to join our team and cook for our customers.
“He loves to create his own dishes in his own way, using a range of traditional spices.
"He uses a really interesting combination that is unique to him - his food is not just a dish, it’s an elaborate creation.”

Mr Miah has worked in the industry for more than a decade, having previously cooked at restaurants in London, Essex and Birmingham.
Sultan Tandoori opened 25 years ago and recently underwent a complete refurbishment under new ownership.
Speaking after the 15th annual Curry Life awards ceremony, Curry Life Media Group editor Syed Belal Ahmed said: "A major aim of the awards has always been to highlight best practice going on across the country – so that everyone has the opportunity to learn from the best - something that has always been a driving principle behind Curry Life itself.
“Over the many years we have been staging the awards, we have seen major improvements in standards and quality being offered to customers, to the point where several restaurants are now in a position to challenge for accolades such as Michelin stars.”
The awards event is an annual celebration of British curry houses, which have an annual turnover of over £4 billion.”
