Jeremy Clarkson and his partner Lisa Hogan visited nearly 200 Fox Red Labradors at an event organised by a Huntingdonshire couple on September 28.
Dog enthusiasts travelled from as far as Scotland to participate in the 'meet-up' at The Grand Tour star's recently-opened pub, The Farmer's Dog.
Kerrie and Michael Singer, based in Godmanchester, organised the meet-up and attended with their six-month-old Fox Red Labrador, Ellie.
They promoted the event in a Fox Red Labrador Facebook group after joining in May, and said they were "overwhelmed" by the response.
Mrs Singer told The Hunts Post: "We had hundreds of people expressing interest and because Michael had always wanted to go to Jeremy's pub, he thought it would be the perfect venue.
"What added to the appeal was the fact pub had a Fox Red Labrador on its sign and that Jeremy and Lisa have two themselves.
"He contacted their PR team and made them aware and at first we didn't have confirmation about whether they would be coming or not. We were just told they were aware."

Mr Clarkson and Ms Hogan arrived with their two dogs Sansa and Arya at around 12.30pm, half an hour after the start of the event and "much to the delight" of the couple.
The stars of Clarkson's Farm spoke with the couple and a number of other owners before posing for photographs.
Mrs Singer added: "Jeremy and Lisa were both really friendly and spoke to us all. They seemed really happy but I think a little shocked at the huge turnout. It was a fantastic day.
"We only joined the Facebook group back in May when we first got Ellie but we're already getting people asking if this will become an annual event and it's something we're definitely thinking about."
