A Cambridgeshire housebuilding company has donated a new piece of equipment to Huntingdon Gymnastics Club.
The club, which is close to David Wilson Homes' Alconbury Weald development on Senliz Road, is home to Jake Jarman who recently returned from the Paris Olympic Games with a bronze medal in the Men’s Floor event.
Adam Scott, club manager at Huntingdon Gymnastics Club, said: “Huntingdon Gymnastics Club is very grateful for the generous donation by David Wilson Homes.
“This new piece of equipment, will help to deliver gymnastics to our large community gymnastics programme.”
Huntingdon Gymnastics Club, located off Mayfield Road, offers a variety of sessions for all age groups from early years, to teenagers and adults, as well its ‘Gym 4 All’ sessions for those with special educational needs or physical disabilities.
Will Phair, sales director at David Wilson Homes Cambridgeshire, said: “Achieving a medal in the Olympics is one of the highest accomplishments possible for an athlete, so we would like to extend our congratulations to Jake and the club.
“We hope this donation will help prepare the next generation of Olympic hopefuls.”
