An armed robber targeted a Post Office in Huntingdonshire last night.
Police were called to the Premier Omia Store in Rookery Place, Fenstanton, at around 9pm on Thursday September 12 with reports that a man had entered the premises with what appeared to be a handgun.
The man pointed the weapon at the cashier behind the counter and then towards the till and signalled for her to empty it.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, managed to shut the till and run out of the back of the store to safety. No items were taken.
Armed officers attended however the offender had fled the scene.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
