Anglesey Abbey has unveiled its exciting plans for Christmas 2024 after the "difficult decision" was made to cancel a 12-year-running event.
In July 2023, Martin Beaver, general manager at Anglesey Abbey, has confirmed the annual Winter Lights event will not take place this year.
He said: "Following a review of our winter programme, we've made the difficult decision to stop running our Winter Lights event at Anglesey Abbey.
"For 12 years, our staff and volunteers have enjoyed putting on this nature-inspired evening event that we know is a highlight in many people's festive calendars."
He added that Anglesey Abbey will, "channel our energy into new and exciting opportunities".
It has now been just over a year since the announcement, and Anglesey Abbey have confirmed their new Christmas events for 2024.
For the first time ever, Anglesey Abbey is set to host Father Christmas in the house. Every Friday from November 29 until December 22 (and Monday, December 23), the man himself will be at the National Trust property.
Guests can make and decorate wishes with Pepper Mint the Elf, hear a story from Father Christmas and get a present from him too. You can book your slot by clicking here.
From December 21-23, Santa's reindeer will also be at Anglesey Abbey in the gardens. Meeting the reindeer is a free event included in a normal admission to the property.
Anglesey Abbey will also be home to a We're Going on a Bear Hunt themed trail round the grounds and woods this Christmas, from November 19 until January 5.
The house at Anglesey Abbey will be decorated for Christmas from November 23, with preparations set to begin from November 1.
Festive food and drink will be on offer as well as Christmas shopping - all of which will be from local sellers.
