There will be many historical planes flying in the Cambridgeshire sky this weekend.
The Battle of Britain Air Show is set to take place at Duxford Imperial War Museum from September 14-15, and it will feature Spitfires, Hurricanes and an Avro Lancaster.
The Air Show will run from 8am until 6pm on the Saturday and Sunday, with flying set to begin at 1pm. Some of the planes taking to the skies include:
- Supermarine Spitfires
- Hawker Hurricanes
- Avro Lancaster
- RAF Typhoon Display Team
- RAF Falcons Display Team
- The Yellow 10
- Bristol Blenheim
- Flying Fortress
- Westland Lysanders
- Gloster Gladiators
There are many more planes set to fly, so keep an eye on the skies.
The weekend will be themed around summer in the 1940s and is set to transport guests back to that time. Living history groups will be in attendance, as well as music and dance from that era.
Tickets are available to purchase on the Duxford website - click here to access them.
The weekend is to commemorate the Battle of Britain in WW2 and pay tribute to the men and machines who took part in Operation Market Garden.
The Operation was in the German-occupied Netherlands and saw British forces, both airborne and land, seize nine bridges.
