The team at Huntingdon in Bloom have blossomed once again at Anglia in Bloom as they picked up three big wins at the 2024 Awards.

At a ceremony on September 6, the team kept up its winning streak as it was named Best Overall Winner for the second year in a row.

The campaign also won the Best Large Town 2024 Gold Award, the Best Environmental Quality and the Best Display celebrating 60 years of Britain in Bloom.

The Anglia in Bloom judges were particularly impressed with the efforts that have gone into enhancing local flora and fauna, as well as Huntingdon in Bloom's work on improving environmental surroundings in the town.

Some of the highlights picked out by the judges included the recycling and reusing initiatives - green waste for composting, bird boxes, bug hotels, mammal houses, bat boxes- as well as a diverse range of flowers that have attracted different kinds of wildlife.

Huntingdon Town Council was recognised for its use of water and heat recycling, solar harvesting to power battery vehicles and equipment, and its strong commitment to sustainability.

The Huntingdon in Bloom committee, Huntingdon Town Council Estates Team, and the Mayor and Mayoress of Huntingdon attended the Anglia in Bloom ceremony in Norfolk to celebrate the town's achievements.
