Tucked away in Brook Street, St Neots, Adlam & Coomber Optometrists is a family-run independent practice that has been at the heart of the community for over 80 years, using care and expertise to serve generations of loyal patients.
Taking over the practice 10 years ago, director and dispensing optician Nichola Mason has made an impact over the last decade, pioneering the renovation of the grade II listed building.
She delivered a fresh breath of life into the practice, while maintaining its warm and spirited reputation, built over the many decades before her.
With an elevated customer experience as the sole priority, the practice has been transformed to create an inviting and comfortable environment, while still upholding the nostalgic charm of the historical building that is admired locally.
Additionally, Nichola has demonstrated her passion for eyewear by adding many exclusive ranges.
Adlam & Coomber Optometrists offer comprehensive eye examinations utilising the latest state-of-the-art technology, allowing a thorough understanding of patients’ eye health.
Many eye conditions, including glaucoma and macular degeneration, can be detected in the very early stages via retinal screening, allowing for faster and more effective treatment.
The team also provide NHS funded eye examinations for a wide group of patients, including those over 60 years of age, and always welcome new patients.
Emphasising her aim in preserving a friendly service for every patient, Nichola said: “Our objective has always remained a constant – ensuring all our patients are given a warm and dedicated experience from trusted and qualified experts.”
Furthermore, Nichola has heavily invested in the Adlam & Coomber team, who are firm in their belief of forming strong relationships with their patients.
