The cause of a fire that ripped through a building at a Cambridgeshire services this week has been confirmed.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at the former Burger King restaurant off the A1307 at Fenstanton at around 5.30pm on Tuesday (August 27).
Around 25 firefighters from Cambridge, Cottenham, Gamlingay, Ramsey and Huntingdon tackled the fire using hose reels, an aerial appliance and a water carrier.
The roof of the former Burger King restaurant had collapsed with guests and staff at the neighbouring Travelodge hotel advised to keep windows and doors shut.
Firefighters returned to their stations just before 10pm, returning overnight and into the next morning to check on the building.

An investigation into the fire took place on Wednesday (August 28) and has since confirmed that the cause of the fire was most likely deliberate.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue said: "Following a fire investigation, the cause of the fire has been concluded as deliberate.
"Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or online quoting reference 35/63031/24."
Cambridgeshire Police have now launched a criminal investigation into the blaze and encourages anyone with information to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: "An investigation into the fire is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact police."
