An affordable food shop in Huntingdon is celebrating its re-opening this week after a makeover.
The Pantry, in All Saints Passage, is run by Lianne Simpson, the founder of the Diamond Hampers charity.
At The Pantry, Lianne and her team provide affordable food to people who need it. You can fill a basket for just £4 and bread, tins, fresh fruit and veg and fridge and freezer products are all available.
Lianne also runs a café in The Pantry, where you can get anything from a fudge tart to a portion of banana curry. Everything that is sold in the café is made from the produce that is received at the outlet.
On August 27, Lianne and her team held a ribbon-cutting ceremony, attended by the mayor of Huntingdon, Cllr Karl Brockett, and the mayoress of Huntingdon, Julie Brockett.
Afterwards, they welcomed people back into The Pantry as it debuted its new look.
Lianne said that watching people flood in, "feels great and wonderful".
She said: "We're so welcomed in the community and we've been told how needed we are."
Cllr Brockett, echoed Lianne's sentiment.
The re-opening of The Pantry is special for Lianne, but it means even more to her as herself and her team bounce back from vandalism at her other shop, The Attic.
Two windows have now been smashed at The Attic, which is also in Huntingdon. The Attic sells clothing, gifts and appliances.
Lianne said that the vandalism is "frustrating". She told The Hunts Post: "It can be disheartening, especially when you've given so much to the community."
However, they have kept going and after three days of work from early morning until late at night, The Pantry is up and running again.
The Pantry, in All Saints Passage, is open Monday-Saturday from 9.30am until 4pm, any donations can be dropped off during these hours.
