Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service has confirmed why three fire crews were called to Huntingdon river this morning.
Teams from Huntingdon, Cambridge and St Neots were called to to Church Lane just before 12pm on August 28.
They were called to reports of a cow in the river but, when they arrived, the cow had released itself.
A Cambs Fire spokesperson confirmed that no further action was needed.
