Upwood Cricket Club will host charity events on August 25 and 26 in support of Breast Cancer Now and Huntingdon Community Cancer Network.

The club is hosting these events as a sign of solidarity for its members who have been affected by cancer and aim to promote the essential work of these organisations.

On August 25, attendees can partake in a fun-filled family afternoon at the club, featuring various entertainment such as a bouncy castle, face painting, and shopping from around 20 craft and product stalls.

Cream teas with the option of tea or prosecco will be served in the pavilion, alongside other alcoholic and soft beverages.

The afternoon event will run from 12pm to 4pm.

A Six a Side Tournament is scheduled for August 26, kicking off at 10am and running until roughly 6pm.

Eight teams will participate with the goal of carrying home the coveted Upwood Sixes Cup.

Tournament attendees can enjoy an assortment of food offerings including hot dogs, burgers, bacon rolls, and veggie options throughout the day.

Additional entertainment in the form of a bouncy castle will be available for younger visitors.

There is also a 100 square challenge where entrants have a chance to win £250.

Park in the club car park or at Upwood school on both days.
