Cambridgeshire Police officers were called to a play park in Huntingdonshire yesterday with reports of bones being found.
A group of children playing in Godley Green park in Godmanchester on August 1 were shocked when they stumbled upon eight fragments of bones on the floor.
They called the police and an investigation took place involving Scenes of Crime Officers.
The force were relieved to confirm that it was a collection of animal bones. A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "We appreciate the vigilance of the community and the curiosity of the young explorers!"
