There is set to be major train disruption over the August Bank Holiday weekend in Huntingdonshire and Peterborough.

Ongoing East Coast Digital Programme engineering works will be taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend and services will be reduced during that time.

The East Coast Digital Programme sets out to introduce in-cab signalling on the southern part of the East Coast Main Line between Grantham and London Kings Cross.

It will eventually see digital signalling used across the line, meaning more reliable and punctual services.

However, the work will affect Thameslink and Great Northern services between London and King's Lynn from August 24-26, with some lines not running between St Neots and London.
