A licensing application to turn a former fish and chip shop into a late night takeaway has been refused by Huntingdonshire District Council.
Once operating as The Codfather, plans had been submitted to convert 66 Huntingdon Street in St Neots into a takeaway serving fried chicken and alcohol.
If the plans had been approved, the building would have re-opened as Jozef's Kitchen.
The application stated that Jozef's Kitchen would be open from 10am to midnight Monday to Thursday, 10am - 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10am to midnight on Sundays.
The proposal also included a timetable of the supply of alcohol.
It would have been served from 10:30am until midnight from Monday to Thursday, 10:30am until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10am until midnight on Sundays.

St Neots residents were invited to respond to the licensing application, and Huntingdonshire District Council received more than 20 objections to the plans from locals.
Objections were made over fears that crime and disorder would increase in the area and that noise would become a problem for nearby residents too.
At a Huntingdonshire District Council Licensing Sub-Committee held yesterday (July 9), the licensing application was refused and Jozef's Kitchen will not open in the building.
The refusal was made on the grounds of the premises being in a residential area.
