An Astrea Academy School is celebrating the appointment of their new, permanent Head Teacher, Mr Tony Meneaugh.
Mr Meneaugh was the Interim Principal at St Ivo Academy, in St Ives, but has now been confirmed as the permanent leader of the school.
Before joining St Ivo Academy in 2023, Mr Meneaugh was the Vice Principal and Safeguarding Lead at Longsands Academy in St Neots - another Astrea school.
An Astrea Academy Trust spokesperson said: "Tony has led St Ivo Academy on a rapid improvement journey, recognised by Ofsted when the school was rated ‘good’ in all areas in the school’s last Ofsted inspection in April."

On his appointment, Mr Meneaugh said: "I am delighted to be confirmed as principal at St Ivo and to be leading our school, now recognised as a ‘good’ school."
He added: "I am really looking forward to continuing the journey with the parents, carers, students and staff team at St Ivo. I look forward to being able to call our school one of the best in the country."
Mr Meneaugh will become principal with immediate effect.
A spokesperson from the St Ivo Parent Forum said: "St Ivo Parent Forum welcomes the news that Tony Meneaugh has been appointed permanent principal.
"We have been pleased to accept a place on his newly formed Parent Advisory Council and he is working with us to allocate funds that Parent Forum has raised for the school."
