Cambridgeshire Police made eight arrests across the county after the first weekend of the Euros.
From Friday, June 21 until midnight on Sunday, June 23 (the night of England's first match), eight people were arrested on suspicion of drink or drug driving.
The arrests took place across the entire county, a Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson confirmed.
In a post on Facebook, the force said: "It's (maybe) coming home. Unfortunately, eight people didn't come home at the weekend after being arrested on suspicion of drink or drug driving.
"If you're enjoying the UEFA Euro 2024 with a few drinks, arrange an alternative way home.
"You can report anyone who might be drink or drug driving via our confidential, dedicated hotline which is available 24/7 - just call 0800 032 0845"

The news on the arrests comes just a few days after Cambridgeshire Police issued the phone numbers to several helplines available during the Euros tournament, both for drink or drug driving and domestic abuse.
