Live music, dancing, games, and miniature railway rides are just some of the highlights of this week’s summer festival at Priory Park Infant School in St Neots.
It’s the biggest event in the school’s calendar, held on Friday, June 28, from 4.30 - 7.30pm at the school playground.
The festival will feature live music from The Good Times, along with workshops from Bee’s Dance Academy, the St Neots Sentinels majorette troupe, and R&D football games, and there will also be entertainment from K&S mini parties.
An all-inclusive wristband will provide access to these, plus a carousel, miniature railway, and inflatable attractions, for £5.
Band, The Good Times, will be performing, and workshops will be held by Bee’s Dance Academy, the St Neots Sentinels majorette troupe, and R&D Football games.
Additional entertainment will be provided by K&S mini parties.
Refreshments include a BBQ, ice-creams and a licensed bar accepting both cash and card payments.
Beyond paid attractions, the school has organised a grand raffle with over 40 prizes.
The winner will enjoy a seven-night holiday to a Eurocamp park for a family of four.
Runners-up will receive a £200 voucher for Xtreme 360 trampoline park and family passes to various local attractions.
The raffle has attracted numerous donations and tickets remain available on the night for £1.
Emma-Jane Page, co-chair of the Parent and Teachers Association said: “We’ve been planning our summer festival for months, and we can’t wait for this year’s event.
"It will be jam-packed full of fun for families and all of the children are really excited about it.
"From football workshops and miniature railway rides to inflatables and some amazing live music - it’s going to be a really special night.
“All of the money we raise from the Summer Festival goes straight back to the school, on events, trips and unique experiences which enrich the children’s learning.”
The school uses PTA funds for various activities, like last year's magic show, a field trip, an author visit and access to the ‘My Happy Mind’ well-being app for each student and parent.
