A 48-year-old burglar has been jailed after a 20 minute rampage saw him smash into three businesses.
Terry Lewis, from St Ives, first forced open the doors of the Salvation Army store in Mill Road, Cambridge, on April 21 at 9:45pm.
He then made his way over to St Ives, where he burgled three more businesses.
In less than 20 minutes, Lewis had smashed into The Snug, Guinot Salon and the St Ives Wellness Centre in Free Church Passage.
He stole £60, but was captured on CCTV during the burglaries, and also left his DNA at the scene.
Cambridgeshire Police officers identified Lewis, and he was arrested the following day in Cambridge.
During his arrest, he kicked one of the police vehicles and broke the driver's side indicator.
At Cambridge Crown Court, Lewis, of Needingworth Road, St Ives, was sentenced to 16 months in prison after pleading guilty to four counts of burglary and one count of criminal damage.
Detective Sergeant Jon Lockwood, from the Southern Acquisitive Crime Team, said: "Lewis is a prolific, opportunist burglar who has caused misery to businesses across Cambridge and St Ives.
"We hope this sentence provides some respite to businesses affected by his offending and that Lewis himself takes the opportunities given to him to help stop his offending."
