A group of trees caught fire on Saturday (June 8) night in Little Paxton, affecting three gardens in the area.
The fire began on Lakefield Avenue.
The dramatic moment was caught on camera by nearby resident, Mick Marks.
In Mr Marks' footage, children's voices can be heard shouting, "fire! fire!", as well as screaming.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "At 6.52pm on Saturday (June 8) a crew from Gamlingay was called to trees on fire on Lakefield Avenue in Little Paxton.
"Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish trees on fire affecting three gardens and returned to their station by 8.40pm.
"The cause of the fire was accidental."
