Roadworks to repair flood damage on a major Cambridgeshire road are set to finish after almost six months.
Repairs to flood damage has caused congestion since February 22 on the A14 eastbound, between junction 37 at Newmarket and junction 38 for the A11 on the Cambridgeshire-Suffolk border.
One of three lanes remains closed.
In March, National Highways said it had extracted about eight million litres of water, roughly equivalent to almost three Olympic-size swimming pools.
Engineers have installed a piezometer, which acts as a warning system for high ground water levels.
Responding to a question from a user on X, the National Highways confirmed that "overall works" around Newmarket are due to be completed by the of July.
A spokesperson added: "The works have been wrapped up within the long term scheme to improve the A14 around Newmarket."
