A cyclist has been left fighting for his life after a crash on the A1301 near Sawston over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

On May 27, a 33-year-old man from Sawston was cycling southbound on the A1301, when he was involved in a crash with a grey Citroen DS3 coming in the opposite direction just after 7pm.

The cyclist was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with life-threatening injuries, and is still in a critical condition.

The driver of the Citroen, a woman in her 40s, was uninjured and is assisting Cambridgeshire Police with their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage, is urged to contact police via their website quoting incident 399 of 27 May. Anyone without internet access should call 101 and ask to speak to a member of the Road Policing Unit.
