Struggling families in Cambridgeshire will be entitled to receive support in the upcoming May half term.
Cambridgeshire County Council's supermarket vouchers scheme will operate throughout the holiday.
Eligible families will be sent a £15 voucher for a supermarket via email or text on Saturday, May 25.
Children who become eligible up until May 31 will also receive vouchers, which can be used at a choice of supermarkets.
All of the vouchers must be claimed by 3pm on Friday, July 5.
In a survey, over 46 per cent of those responding said that the vouchers had helped them buy healthier food for their families.
Over 70 per cent said that the vouchers had helped them cope with the cost of living crisis.

Am I eligible for a voucher?
The supermarket vouchers will be sent to families who meet the low income criteria for the following support:
- Free school meals
- Funded childcare for 2-year-olds
- Early years pupil premium
- Students in the Sixth Form eligible for Free School Meals (young people aged 16-19)
If your child receives Universal Infant Free School Meals (in Reception, Year One and Year Two), but you do not meet the low income criteria for free school meals, you will not be eligible for a supermarket voucher.

Parents/carers can also complete an application form for their child to receive free school meals.

How will I receive the voucher?
Prior to May half term, eligible parents/carers will receive a text or email inviting them to choose a supermarket for the voucher.
The text message will come from 'SchoolMeals'.
The email will come from: vouchers@wonde.com
If you haven't received a voucher but feel that you should have, you can email: holidayvoucherscheme@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
