Pupils at a Cambridgeshire primary school have spent the week celebrating the opening of their new play area.
20 students at Earith Primary School attended a ribbon cutting ceremony along Lisa Corby, school improvement lead at The Active Learning Trust, at the play area.
The area features some exciting new additions, including a sandpit, a water wall, a play builder engineering set, storytelling chairs, a giant chalkboard and a turf floor.
Staff at Earith Primary School have said that the new play area reflects the school's commitment to enhancing outdoor spaces for the students.
Mrs Jill Nicholls, EYFS Lead at the school expressed her excitement about the new area saying: "This is an essential new resource all about promoting outdoor learning and play-based education, which is a key part of our Early Years curriculum here at Earith Primary."
The Earith School Council has also been actively seeking input from pupils to ensure the new space caters to the interests and needs of all age groups.
