Passengers travelling to, and through, St Neots were left stranded last night (May 5) after a fire broke out on a train at the station.
The fire began in one of the coaches at St Neots Train Station at around 6:30pm that evening.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from St Neots, Gamlingay and Huntingdon attended the scene.
Passengers were safely evacuated from the train and no injuries were reported.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the fire was accidental and was electrical.
They said: "The cause of the fire was recorded as accidental (electrical), there were no persons involved and no injuries reported."
Crews returned to their stations at 7:45pm.
