The Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner elections are taking place today (May 2) - here's everything you need to know.
Who are the candidates?
There are three candidates hoping to become the next Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner. They are:
Darryl Preston - candidate for the Conservative Party
Anna Smith - candidate for the Labour and Co-operative Party
Edna Murphy - candidate for the Liberal Democrats

Where can you go to vote?
There are several polling stations across the county that you visit to cast your vote in the election.

Remember to bring voter ID
A new law in 2024 is that anyone voting in an election, whether it is local, general, or for a Police and Crime Commissioner, must bring voter ID.
You can use the following as an accepted form of voter ID today:
- A passport issued by the UK, any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, a British Overseas Territory, an EEA state or a Commonwealth country (including an Irish Passport Card)
- A driving licence issued by the UK, any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, or an EEA state (this includes a provisional driving licence)
- A blue badge
- An Older Person's Bus Pass funded by the UK Government
- Disabled Person's Bus Pass funded by the UK Government
- 60+ London Oyster Photocard funded by Transport for London
- Freedom Pass
- Identity card bearing the Proof of Age Standards Scheme hologram (PASS card)
The election timetable
The polls will open at 7am on May 2 and will then close at 10pm that evening.
The publication of the election results will take place on May 3.
