The first ever Alconbury Weald Beer Festival went down a treat with locals, as over 600 people joined in on the fun.

Taking place from April 13-14 at The Pavilion, the weekend festival showcased some of Cambridgeshire's finest beer, cider and gin.

Drinks from Ivo, Papworth, Baker's Dozen, Biochemist, Briarbank, Burwell, Nene Valley and Xtreme Ales were on offer.

The festival was hosted in partnership with Wheatsheaf Brewery, who brought along some of their own alcohol. 

There was also soft drinks, food trucks that served pizza, fish and chips, South African, and Jamaican cuisine all weekend. 

Natalie Leigh-Brown said: "We'd like to thank everyone who came along and supported our first beer festival; and a special shout out to Wheatsheaf Brewery and all the volunteers who helped make the event such a success.

"We've had some fantastic feedback and we're hoping to make this an annual event. 

"We also have other community events and activities to look forward to throughout the year and hope people will come along to support the Open Gardens, Food Festival and Heritage Day - to name just a few."
