Hinchingbrooke Country Park is celebrating its 35th anniversary since opening.
On this day (April 23), 35 years ago, Hinchingbrooke Country Park was opened by the late actor, Sir Nigel Hawthorne.
Sir Nigel attended the opening and 'cut the ribbon', and since then Hinchingbrooke Country Park has seen lots of new projects and changes on the grounds.
These pictures from 1988 and 1989 were taken at the new plantation, which looks very different now to how it once did.
In 1988, the visitor centre was being built as well as the hazel plantation.
Work on the Iron Age reconstruction began in 1992 and and finished in 2003 after a series of fires.
In the same area today is the orchard.
Before the lakeside was open to the public it was grazed by cattle every year.
The last time cattle were grazing in the park was in 1988, but some animals have tried to visit since.
The official opening for Hinchingbrooke Country Park was advertised with a country fair, refreshments, and an official opening by Nigel Hawthorne.
