The Great Ouse Valley Trust is marking spring with an invitation to local people to find out more about how farming is helping nature.
Martin Lines, CEO of the Nature Friendly Farming Network and a Cambridgeshire farmer himself, is guest speaker at the Trust’s AGM, at Offord Village Hall on April 20, which begins at 10am.
The Network supports farmers on their journey towards nature-friendly farming.
Through showcasing the experiences of farmers who are leading the way, it shares knowledge on how farmers can produce plentiful food in ways that mitigate climate change, reverse biodiversity decline and safeguard the future of UK agriculture.
Graham Campbell, from the Great Ouse Valley Trust, says: "We all know the vital role farmers play in producing food, and the importance of agriculture in the local area.
"Martin, and the farmers he works with, put sustainability at the heart of their businesses.
"Many farmers are turning to new ways to grow food in harmony with nature. Farmland covers so much of our beautiful Great Ouse Valley."
