A St Neots company has raised more than £10,000 for cancer charities.
Employees at the fast-growing electronics firm Pico Technology, united in a remarkable running challenge to support three charities.
Over a 20-week period, they collectively covered more than 4,000 miles, with the company pledging £2.50 for every mile run by a Pico employee.
The total amount raised exceeded £10,000, which was generously distributed among Cancer Research UK, Prostate Cancer Research, and Melanoma Focus.
The cause holds significance for many Pico employees, with cancer having touched their lives either directly or through friends and family.
James Niblock, Director of Business Development at Pico Technology said: “This challenge was about us coming together as a team to fight cancer and make a real difference.
“I can't thank each and every one of the employees at Pico who took part in this challenge for every single mile they ran.”
The collective effort culminated in an astonishing 4,175.5 miles covered, surpassing their initial goal, and raising a grand total of £10,438.75.
The event marks the beginning of a series of collaborative employee initiatives aimed at charitable causes, as announced by Pico.
