The candidates for the Police and Crime Commissioner elections have been announced, as well as all of the information needed ahead of the election day.
In Cambridgeshire, there are three candidates standing in the election. They are:
Darryl Preston for the Conservative Party
Mr Preston is the current Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner and is standing for re-election.
Edna Helen Murphy for the Liberal Democrats
Ms Murphy is currently a councillor at Cambridgeshire County Council and she chairs the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Fire Authority.
Anna Smith for the Labour and Co-operative Party
Ms Smith is currently a councillor at Cambridge City Council and she is the deputy mayor at the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.
What does the Police and Crime Commissioner do?
The Police and Crime Commissioner acts "as a bridge between the public and police service", a spokesperson from East Cambridgeshire District Council said.
The Commissioner is ultimately responsible for delivering an efficient police service in Cambridgeshire, as well as looking at ways to work with other forces and organisations.
They award crime and disorder reduction grants to support the police in reducing crime, and they provide services to help and support victims of crime.
What you need to know ahead of the election day
The Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner election is due to take place on Thursday, May 2.
All Cambridgeshire residents that intend to vote in this election are being reminded to bring an acceptable form of ID to the polling stations.
If you don't bring voter ID, you risk not being able to have your say in the four-yearly vote.

Polling stations will be open across the county from 7am to 10pm.
Election timeline
The last day to register to vote is Tuesday, April 16. Postal voters have until April 17 to register, and proxy voters have until April 24 to register.
The polling day is May 2, and the results will be announced on May 3.
The serving Commissioner's final day in post will be May 8, and the winning Commissioner's first day in post will be May 9.
