For the first time since it opened, Hamerton Zoo has closed its play area during the Easter half term.
Every year the play area is closed during winter, but it usually re-opens for the February half term, or at the latest, the Easter half-term.
Unfortunately, for the first time in 34 years, Hamerton Zoo has taken the difficult to decision to keep the play area closed during the Easter holidays.
A spokesperson for the wildlife park said: "This year has been the wettest in the UK since records began to be kept, and although we are in the driest part of the country, we are not immune to the conditions that effect everyone."
