All lanes of the A14 are now closed around Junction 25 (Bar Hill) due to a diesel spillage caused by an overturned heavy goods vehicle (HGV).
Traffic is being diverted up and over the slip roads and a recovery truck is on the scene.
However, due to the positioning, National Highways said that recovery will take some time.
They also confirmed that there is a diesel spillage at site, meaning a high chance of resurfacing as well as the barrier being repaired.

National Highways is therefore advising drivers to use the A428 to get to Cambridge.
They also warned that the incident is "having a knock-on effect across the county, so please leave some extra time for your journey if you have to travel today".
