A man, 32, of no fixed address, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision and committing an act with intent to pervert the course of justice.
He is due to appear at Huntingdon Magistrates' Court today (7 March).
Sergeant Mark Atkins, from the road policing unit, said: “The teenage boy has been left with serious injuries and I am appealing for witnesses to come forward.
“If anyone has any dashcam or video doorbell footage of the collision then that would be very helpful for our investigation.
“Also, if anyone saw or has dashcam footage of the Audi in the Cambourne or Highfields Caldecote areas at about 9pm yesterday evening, I would also like to hear from them.”
Anyone with information or dashcam footage should report it through the force website using reference 35/15791/24.
