Craig Rooks, 56, has been fined for damaging winter wheat and crops on a farm near Warboys in January.
He pled guilty to causing criminal damage to winter wheat and crops.
The West Yorkshire man was handed a £2,005 fine, including having to pay £500 compensation to the farmer.
Rooks, who is a convicted hare courser, was arrested by Cambridgeshire Police's Rural Crime Action Team, and was sentenced at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on Thursday, February 29.
