Colin Bedford has celebrated receiving 100 injections as part of his treatments for diabetes, and is now cycling 100 miles to fundraise for the NHS.
The 87-year-old, from March, takes regular trips to Hinchingbrooke Hospital as he has Diabetic Macular Oedema, which requires an injection into his eyes to alleviate fluid that filters into the back of them.
Colin recently returned to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for his 100th injection, which just so happened to take place 11 years to the day from his initial treatment.
In the spirit of hitting this major milestone, the pensioner has decided to take on a monumental fundraiser.

He's cycling a sponsored 100 miles to commemorate and celebrate the 100 injections he's received at the Sunflower Eye Clinic in Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
Colin is an antique bicycle enthusiast, and has taken to the streets on century old bikes to cycle the full 100 miles, which he's doing through 3-6 mile trips.
So far, Colin is nearing 70 miles and has raised over £1,000 for Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
The pensioner has always fundraised for the Sunflower Eye Clinic, but wanted to "give something back" after his 100th injection.
While waiting for his 100th injection, Colin took to the floor at the hospital to thank staff.
He said: "I want to give my sincerest thanks to all of the teams who have looked after me over the last eleven years.
"Without the eye injection and treatment, I definitely would have lost my sight, so I've always felt that I owe the NHS something.
"It has done so much for me, and I couldn't do it without them."
Elizabeth Trewick, Hinchingbrooke Hospital's Ophthalmology Sister, said: "Everybody in the team and lots of the local community know Colin.
"He's practically famous here! We all love his kind nature, positivity and lovely character, and we're so grateful for all the support he gives us throughout the years.
"Thank you, Colin."
